UNPACU CONVOCA RUEDA DE PRENSA PARA INFORMAR DEL CASO DE JOSÉ DANIEL FERRER Y RECLAMAR LA LIBERACIÓN DE TODOS LOS PRESOS POLÍTICOS CUBANOS.

La Unión Patriótica de Cuba (UNPACU) convoca a una Conferencia de Prensa para
informar sobre el encarcelamiento y total aislamiento de José Daniel Ferrer
Garcia, Coordinador General de UNPACU, a quien el régimen castrista está
sometiendo desde el 3 de agosto. Su hermano, Luis Enrique Ferrer Garcia, ex-
prisionero de conciencia de la Primavera Negra y representante de UNPACU en el
exterior, conducirá la conferencia, que busca además reclamar la liberación
inmediata de José Daniel y de todos los presos políticos cubanos.
 
La represión contra José Daniel Ferrer es otra escala más en la guerra desatada
por el régimen contra toda forma de oposición interna en el país, tanto en el
plano económico, político, como social.  Los métodos y las intenciones de la
dictadura siguen siendo los mismos, al igual que quienes los orquestan y ejecutan.
 
Medios de comunicación como el Miami Herald, Washington Post, Los Ángeles
Times y organizaciones como Amnistía Internacional junto al Departamento de
Estado, se han pronunciado sobre la grave situación de José Daniel Ferrer Garcia.

UNPACU CONVENES A PRESS CONFERENCE TO INFORM OF THE CASE OF JOSÉ
DANIEL FERRER AND TO CALL FOR THE RELEASE OF ALL CUBAN POLITICAL
PRISONERS
The Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) convenes a Press Conference to report on
the imprisonment and total isolation of UNPACU General Coordinator, José Daniel
Ferrer García, by the Castro regime since August 3.
His brother, Luis Enrique Ferrer García, ex-prisoner of conscience of Cuba’s Black
Spring and representative of UNPACU abroad, will lead the conference, which also
seeks to demand the immediate release of José Daniel and all Cuban political
prisoners.
This repression against José Daniel Ferrer is another escalation in the war
unleashed by the regime against all forms of internal opposition in the country,
economically and politically as well as socially. The methods and intentions of the
dictatorship remain the same, as do those who orchestrate and execute them.
Media outlets such as the Miami Herald, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles
Times and organizations such as Amnesty International, as well as the US State
Department, have spoken out about the grave situation of José Daniel Ferrer
García.
